Magnificent seven off to China

Seven of the Irish women’s rugby team who were in action in Milan yesterday, are due to fly out to China tomorrow for the IRB Women’s Sevens World Series event.

The team, managed by Gemma Crowley, will fly to Hong Kong via Dubai to first take part in a one-day tournament en route to Guangzhou for the IRB series.

Ireland will face South Africa and France in the warm-up tournament, before moving to Guangzhou for the IRB meet where they will face Canada, Australia and Japan. It is Ireland’s first ever IRB sevens event ahead of the World Cup in Russia this summer.
