Cian Healy revealed last night that he had received “hate mail” after his successful appeal against the timeframe of his three-week suspension.

Healy picked up the ban after pleading guilty to a stamp on England’s Dan Cole on February 10. On Wednesday a Six Nations disciplinary appeal committee ruled the suspension should end this Sunday at midnight rather than the originally decreed date of midnight on Sunday, March 10.

Healy yesterday said via his Twitter account @ProperChurch: “Actually got some hate mail delivered to camp today. Quite amusing to read. Water off a ducks back!”
