O’Driscoll has no concerns over Ulster new boys

Brian O’Driscoll has backed Test debutants Luke Marshall and Paddy Jackson to rise to the occasion and deliver for Ireland in tomorrow’s Six Nations clash with Scotland at Murrayfield.

O’Driscoll has no concerns over Ulster new boys

O’Driscoll will win his 123rd cap in Edinburgh as his midfield partner Marshall and fly-half Jackson, both 13 years his junior, embark on their international careers. While the senior partner will be there to offer advice to the Ulster rookies, new father and former captain O’Driscoll does not expect to have to practice his parenting skills on either Marshall or Jackson, however tough the going gets, with decisions having to be made in split seconds.

“A bit of that will be the call selection I’ll try and advise Paddy to make, but he’s been training well all week and he’s growing into his role and growing into bossing people around,” O’Driscoll said.
