Munster irked by match scheduling

MUNSTER Rugby chiefs are ‘disappointed’ with thetiming of their Heineken Cup game against Racing Metro 92at Thomond Park in the New Year.

The former champions have been handed a 12.45pm kick off by ERC for their final pool fixture on Sunday, January 20.

All clubs, not least Munster, have struggled to sell out their Heineken Cup fixtures this year due to the downturn in the economy and the southern province had hoped for a better mid-afternoon slot to allow fans more time to travel long distances to the game.
