Cronin to stay at Leinster dashing Connacht hopes

Connacht’s hopes of bringing Irish hooker Sean Cronin back to the Sportsground look to be dashed with the 26-year old set to agree a new deal with Leinster.

The Limerick native is out of contract at the end of the season but while there were advanced discussions about a move back to Connacht, where he spent three years, it now seems certain he will remain at Leinster.

It will be disappointing news for Connacht, fans following last week’s announcement that Mike McCarthy joins Leinster at the end of the season.
