Jackson enjoying fringe benefits of Irish life

Anyone who admits that quality food and clothing are highly prized perks of the job, and to do so within earshot of his new boss, exudes confidence.

Paddy Jackson is the new kid on the block and he made no secret yesterday that he was enjoying his time in the Irish rugby squad. Benefiting from the playing gear at his disposal, and the food, mostly the food; the perks of joining the camp at the team base in Carton House were enticing. He did, of course, talk up the real benefits of being able to develop his promising rugby career, but the 20-year-old wasn’t shy to outline the extras.

“It’s all quite new to us, but I like the food. Whenever you want, you can go and have a wee munch,” he laughed.
