Lack of continuity gives Leinster coach Schmidt headache

Joe Schmidt is not one to excuse failure but the Leinster coach feels there were mitigating circumstances for the shock capitulation to Connacht at the Sportsground last weekend.

In trying to find reasons for the collapse, Schmidt figures an injury crisis in the build up to that Galway visit was part of the problem.

“I know continuity is obviously a massive disadvantage for us. We have made a minimum of seven changes from week to week and to get continuity is very difficult,” he said.
