Munster await Murphy injury news

Munster will today expect to get a better handle on the extent of Johne Murphy’s ankle injury.

The former Leicester Tiger back, left out of the province’s matchday squad for the RaboDirect Pro12 win at Edinburgh, limped out in the first half of Young Munster’s Limerick Charity Cup semi-final win over Garryowen on Friday.

The Murrayfield win produced no other injury concerns for Rob Penney, whose side open their home campaign on Friday against Treviso at Thomond Park.
