Wanderer Downey ready to settle down

Munster’s new midfield signing James Downey has been around the houses, flitting between Munster, Leinster, Connacht, Calvisano and Northampton Saints before his return to Ireland.

Back in Munster and in search of European glory, Downey is ready to settle down.

Downey won’t feel ill at ease with the suggestion that he made his name in the hard grind in English training grounds before the ultimate scrutiny in Franklins Gardens, where he became a firm crowd favourite.
