Bok-basher Scannell turns focus to England

Ireland U20s captain Niall Scannell warned his Junior World Championship giantkillers that this week’s upset of South Africa will count for nothing against England this evening.

Ireland, coached by Mike Ruddock, return to Danie Craven Stadium, the scene of their famous 23-19 victory over the Baby Boks on Monday, to face the team that pipped them to the Six Nations Grand Slam in March.

Dolphin and Munster hooker Scannell is keen to avenge that defeat at Wycombe’s Adams Park and is mindful Ireland have to forget the heroics of four days ago and concentrate anew on the challenge ahead.
