Ferris inclusion boosts Ulster as Munster make seven changes

So, it came as no surprise yesterday when Brian McLaughlin named the big Irish flanker in his Ulster side for the massive Heineken-Cup quarter final clash with Munster at Thomond Park tomorrow.

McGahan has set tongues wagging with his own selection by handing first Heineken Cup starts to Tommy O’Donnell and Mike Sherry in a team that shows seven changes in personnel and a positional switch from that defeated by Leinster last weekend.

O’Donnell effectively comes in for Dave O’Callaghan, with Peter O’Mahony moving to six from the open side. Donnacha Ryan and Paul O’Connell replace Mick O’Driscoll and Donncha O’Callaghan respectively in the second row, with Wian Du Preez and Sherry playing instead of Marcus Horan and Damian Varley.
