Schmidt: We’ll glue ourselves back together and front up again

IT may not have been the greatest spectacle ever seen, but for Leinster coach Joe Schmidt, the sheer courage and determination shown by his players in coming through a tricky tie in Scotland more than made up for that.

Schmidt: We’ll glue ourselves back together and front up again

“I know there were imperfections in the performance and I know that the players have gone on record as saying I am always fussy, but I have told them ‘I don’t care about the imperfections, you deserve to be proud of what you did’,” he said afterwards.

“We have come away from this and will glue ourselves back together, go back to the RDS and front up again to try to chase that home quarter final which is what we really, really want.”
