Madigan has 14 caps for the U20’s, but the 22-year-old admits his ultimate ambition is to win a senior international cap.

“I would be so privileged if I got to play for Ireland. It would absolutely be an ambition of mine,” Madigan revealed yesterday. “I’m just working on my own game and working away with Joe (Schmidt). If an Ireland ‘A’ call comes soon then well and good, but if it doesn’t I won’t be too cut up about it.”
