Carr driving to face old club Connacht

LEINSTER winger Fionn Carr is optimistic he’ll be fit to face his former club Connacht in Sunday’s inter-provincial showdown.

Carr injured his ankle against Ulster on St Stephen’s Day and has been wearing a protective cast ever since, but says he should be ready to return to training today.

“The foot cast thing is precautionary so hopefully I’ll get back training on Friday,” says Carr. “I’m getting physio and treatment on it at the moment, I’m icing it, and I’m getting ready for this weekend.
