Scheduling of January pool games finalised

HEINEKEN Cup chiefs have finalised the scheduling of the January pool games.

The battle for qualification for the last eight will be waged over two weekends next month with Leinster, Munster and Ulster all in the reckoning for the knock-out phases.

Munster, the only club with four wins in the pool stage this season, host Castres Olympique at Thomond Park on Saturday, January 14 before completing their campaign a week later against Northampton Saints at stadium:mk.

Champions Leinster, who are unbeaten in Pool 3, travel to Firhill on January 15 to face a resurgent Glasgow Warriors with Montpellier set for the RDS on January 21.

Ulster face former champions Leicester Tigers at Ravenhill on January 13 and are away to ASM Clermont Auvergne eight days later. Connacht, who are still seeking their first win in the competition, head to France to play Toulouse on January 14 while Eric Elwood’s side host Harlequins at the Sportground for their final game on Friday, January 20.

A full schedule of live television coverage for Rounds 5 and 6 will be announced at a later date.
