Munster in Cork fog flight scare

The charter flight from Toulouse carrying the team, officials, media and supporters was met with heavy fog on its approach to Cork, forcing the flight crew to abandon the landing within metres of the runway.

Shannon was similarly affected so the flight was immediately sent to Dublin, leaving the players with overnight bus journeys back to Cork and Limerick while the majority of the travelling supporters were put up in a Dublin airport hotel for the night before being bussed down to the Munster cities yesterday morning.
