Scarlets warning for Leinster
Last weekend’s 23-19 loss at home to Glasgow was their third in the opening four games in the RaboDirect PRO12, but they can expect few favours in south-west Wales tomorrow.
The Scarlets are celebrating their 5,000th game since the club was founded in 1872 and coach Nigel Davies says it will be a highly-charged occasion against the Heineken Cup champions.
“We are proud of our history and everyone who puts on a Scarlets shirt knows about the heritage. This is a big occasion for the club and the expectation is it will be marked by a big performance on the park,” said Davies.
Scarlets won their opening home game against Aironi but then lost away to Connacht and Munster.
“We have been frustrated with our last two performances but this is an opportunity to correct that,” said Davies.
