Munster conceded three tries inside the opening 30 minutes, including one intercept score which effectively ruined their night. However, they will feel happy enough that some changes made at the interval, by which time they had pulled back a score, made a difference in the second period.

That optimism won’t extend to the scrum, though, because this was an area that faltered in the second half following the withdrawal of young Stephen Archer in particular.
