I’d consider picking Red Rose, says Hayes

TOM HAYES will consider playing for England if he receives a call-up from Martin Johnson.

Hayes, a brother of Munster’s John, qualifies to play for England at international level.

“I’d give it consideration if it became an issue,” he said. “I’m English-qualified, the club knows and it helps towards grants from the RFU. It’s not something I’d rule out. It could be awkward. John’s reaction wasn’t the greatest when he realised I was English-qualified.”
