Duffy gets Leinster off to flier

LEINSTER made a great start to the defence of their Junior Interprovincial title with a 30-24 victory over Munster at Charleville.

They dominated the opening half and tries from Dave Murphy, Gavin Kennedy and Bevan Duffy, along with two conversions and two penalties by Brian Croke, gave the visitors a 25-16 half-time lead.

Duffy secured the bonus point in the second half making Ger Luby and Brian O’Sullivan’s tries mere consolation for Munster.
