Munster quartet ink new contracts

MUNSTER have tied another four players — including talismanic forwards Mick O’Driscoll and James Coughlan — down to new contracts, the province announced yesterday.

Having seen hooker Damien Varley and young guns Stephen Archer and Danny Barnes sign on the dotted line last week, lock O’Driscoll and backrower Coughlan have become the latest to ink new deals, alongside Simon Zebo and Declan Cusack.

O’Driscoll has agreed a one-year extension that will see him into his 11th season with Munster, while Coughlan’s is a two-year deal, keeping him at Munster until 2013.
