O’Leary and Lee clinch CBC victory

CBC CORK escaped to victory in an incredible Avonmore Milk Munster Schools Junior Cup clash yesterday.

St Munchin’s opened the scoring through a Mark Long try but their lead lasted all off three minutes as Niall O'Leary touched down for CBC.

A Ryan Meagher penalty restored St Munchin’s lead before CBC edged ahead when winger Darren Lee went over in the corner and out-half Thomas Quinlan added the extras.

CBC had Quinlan, Richie Quirke and Niall O’Leary sinbinned in quick succession but a brace of penalties by Meagher was all St Munchin’s could manage it that spell. They were awarded a late penalty, but Long could not make proper contact into the wind and victory went to CBC.
