A BID by the International Rugby Board to address the rising number of scrum issues has been endorsed by the coaches of all the Six Nations teams.

Concerned at the increase in collapsed scrums, resets and slower scrum completion times, the game’s governing body convened a meeting in London on Tuesday night ahead of yesterday’s RBS 6 Nationals launch.

Declan Kidney and forwards coach Gert Smal represented Ireland at the gathering, which the head coach said lasted a couple of hours.
