ULSTER will be without Springbok BJ Botha for the crucial Heineken Cup trip to Aironi on Saturday.

Botha had a scan yesterday for a damaged left elbow and while there was no dislocation, he sustained ligament damage which could see him sidelined until Ulster’s next game, the Magners League trip against the Ospreys on February 13.

On the up side, things are looking a little brighter for skipper Rory Best who, like Botha, had to leave the field near the end of last Saturday nerve-wracking 9-6 victory over Biarritz.
