Saracens add Henson to squad

LEINSTER could come face to face with Gavin Henson this weekend after the enigmatic Welsh back was added to Saracens’ Heineken Cup squad.

Henson, who became estranged with Ospreys after taking 20 months out from the game, joined the London club before Christmas and has played three times in the Aviva Premiership since December 26. The Wales and Lions player replaces the injured former Springbok fly-half Derick Hougaard in Sarries’ 38-man nominated Heineken Cup squad. Saracens, with no hope of qualifying for the quarter-finals, visit the RDS on Saturday also buoyed by securing the services of Namibian captain Jacques Burger on a new, “long-term” contract.

Munster’s final pool three opponents London Irish have also chosen to utilise the one player change, replacing Declan Danaher with Adam Thompstone, while London Wasps have replaced the now retired Phil Vickery with Michael Mayhew.
