Simpson signs new deal to stay at Wasps

The England Saxons scrum-half made his senior debut for the club in 2008 and has clocked up 47 appearances.

A product of Wasps’ academy, the dynamic 22-year-old has seen his Test ambitions hampered by shoulder and hamstring injuries.

“Joe has grown up as a Wasp, coming through the academy system to establish himself as a regular in the senior team,” said director of rugby, Tony Hanks.

“We want to be involved in his ongoing development and success both for his club and at international level in the future. His performances in black and gold have put him on the radar for England.”
