BAD enough that they have to face the French champions twice in the space of six days but Leinster’s hopes of navigating their way through Pool Two have been blighted again this week by both injuries and the weather.

Shane Horgan has managed to avoid the former and plough on through the latter. It was the wing’s try at the start of last Sunday’s game in Clermont that set Leinster up for a losing bonus point. Now they must do it all over again. Only better.

“It’s tough,” he said of the short turnaround this week. “It develops a sort of siege mentality. We’ve had a tough couple of weeks here just with the weather conditions, it’s almost been impossible just to get out onto the pitch and train.
