Leamy digging in as World Cup looms

DENIS LEAMY faces a massive battle in his bid to win a place in Ireland’s World Cup squad, even if he shines against Argentina at the Aviva Stadium on Sunday.

The Munster and Ireland back-row hopes to be in the mix for next year’s tournament but recognises there is no guarantee from Declan Kidney.

“Declan and the others (coaches) have seen a huge amount of players, so I figure he has a fair idea of what guys can do for him,” he said.
