O’Gara pens new two-year deal

RONAN O’GARA has signed a new two year deal with the IRFU.

O’Gara’s career has seen him become the most prolific points scorer (960) for Ireland and only the third player in Irish Rugby history to reach 100 caps. He has won five triple crowns, one RBS Six Nations Championship, a Grand Slam as well as two Heineken Cups as well as being selected for three British and Irish Lions tours.

Last night he admitted that a contract extension was a no-brainer. He said: “I am extremely happy with my new contract and to be continuing my career in Ireland.
