Williams injury blow for Welsh

WALES and Ospreys wing Shane Williams has been ruled out for at least 10 weeks with a dislocated left shoulder, the Welsh Rugby Union confirmed last night.

Williams suffered the injury just before half-time in last Saturday’s 29-25 defeat to South Africa at the Millennium Stadium and the prognosis now makes him a serious doubt for the start of Wales’ 2011 RBS 6 Nations campaign.

Wasps back-row forward Andy Powell has also been ruled out for this weekend’s match against New Zealand with a groin problem.

Meanwhile, Leicester centre Anthony Allen has been called into the England squad ahead of Saturday’s game against Samoa.
