O’Gara support for Seán Óg

MUNSTER fly-half Ronan O’Gara believes Cork GAA icon Seán Óg O hAilpín still has plenty to offer his county.

O hAilpín was deemed surplus to requirements by Cork hurling boss Denis Walsh at the weekend but the wing-back later issued a statement emphasising his desire to continue playing for the Rebels.

O’Gara, at 33, the same age as O hAilpín, said: “I know Seán Óg is an unbelievable professional and a lot of those top GAA athletes more or less are professionals but under the amateur heading.
