Fitzgerald the only Leinster injury concern

LEINSTER centre Luke Fitzgerald was the only new injury concern following the 25-23 Wembley win over Saracens.

Fitzgerald the only Leinster injury concern

The Irish international was withdrawn in the 47th minute and head coach Joe Schmidt said: “He just got a bang, those deep bruises in the hip can be debilitating to run with and we think that’s what it is. We’ll get him into medicals tomorrow and get some clarification.”

It was decided not to risk Brian O’Driscoll’s strained hamstring against Saracens although the Leinster talisman was active at Wembley on Saturday – as a water carrier. Club captain Leo Cullen was rather more involved, though, entering off the bench in the 69th minute for his first match since May when he sustained a shoulder injury that had required surgery.
