MUNSTER skipper Paul O’Connell has given a resounding endorsement to the medical care he has received for the groin problem that has sidelined him since March — and insists there was never a question of a misdiagnosis.

“We went over to a specialist in Liverpool, and it was almost reassuring coming away because he was saying that everything we were doing was right,” the 30-year-old Munster talisman maintains in an interview in the Weekend section of today’s Irish Examiner.

“There was absolutely not a misdiagnosis. Sometimes it’s great to have someone to blame because you can rant and let off steam,” he admits.
