IRISH flanker Shane Jennings believes Leinster’s loss will be a huge gain for Stade Francais as he reflected on the end of Michael Cheika’s five-year reign as head of coaching.

Jennings has no doubt that Cheika will make his mark in Paris even though the coach went out on a low note, his team beaten by the Ospreys in Saturday’s Magners League final.

A disappointed Jennings admitted: “Losing is a lousy way to finish (the season). It has been an emotional couple of days. It feels bad now, it feels pretty terrible. Having done well all year in the league we have nothing to show for it, but I think over the next few days we will possibly realise that we have come a long way this season.
