MAGNERS LEAGUE chiefs yesterday reported record attendance figures in the past season with Munster still the best supported team in the competition.

Despite the recession, 771,852 supporters clicked through the turnstiles in the 09/10 season, representing an increase of 5.5% on the previous campaign.

Average gates are at 8,576, more than double the average of 3,802 recorded in the 2003/4 season when home and away games in the league first began.
