LEINSTER’S hooker Bernard Jackman may be forced to retire because of injury.

The Carlow man, who started the Heineken Cup final last year, has been troubled by knee and neck problems in recent months. Now he fears his professional career may be close to an end.

“There is a good chance that I have played my last game ever,” he wrote in the Carlow Nationalist.
