Clark picks U20s for world bid

IRELAND coach Allen Clark has named his U20 squad for this year’s IRB Junior World Championship in the Santa Fé region of Argentina in June.

Clarke has named a 25-man squad with one further position to be filled. The squad has a familiar look, as there is only player named that did not partake in this year’s Six Nations tournament, with Leinster’s Noel Reid coming in. Five players return to the JWC from last year’s squad including captain Rhys Ruddock.

The Irish side head into this year’s tournament with the U20’s Six Nations title under their belt. Ireland has been placed in Pool B of the Junior World Championship and their opening three games see them play France, England and host nation Argentina.
