Parks: Evans talk moved us to tears

AN emotional Dan Parks has revealed how he and his Scotland team-mates were moved to tears as a stricken Thom Evans gave them a pre-match pep talk ahead of their Calcutta Cup draw with England.

Despite still being in the early stages of his recovery from double spinal surgery, Evans summoned the strength to pay the squad a visit on the eve of the15-15 stalemate at Murrayfield.

There remain serious doubts over the career of the Glasgow wing, who came within a millimetre of paralysis or death in his country’s RBS 6 Nations defeat in Wales according to older brother Max.
