Ruddock to lead Ireland U20s

RHYS RUDDOCK, son of former Welsh coach Mike, will captain Ireland in their opening game of the U20 Six Nations Championship against Italy at Dubarry Park tomorrow night (7.30pm).

Ruddock is one of seven players available from last year’s squad which was beaten to title honours on points difference by France.

Centre Nevin Spence makes a return to the side from last season as does scrum half John Cooney, front row Jack O’Connell, second row David O’Callaghan, Dominic Ryan and Ruddock.
