Sean’s stone cold seething

LEINSTER and Ireland flanker Sean O’Brien is singularly unimpressed by some of his neighbours from Tullow in Carlow who are participating in RTÉ television programme titled Stone Cold Sober.

Stone Cold Sober is one of a six-part observational documentary series following six hard-drinking twenty somethings in Tullow who give up the booze.

The lads’ downbeat description of the crushing boredom of living in what is described as dreary, small-town Ireland – you binge drink yourself to oblivion, wake up with a blazing hangover and a face as pink as boiled ham, and then do it all over again – has been described as totally out of context with life in the area by an angry O’Brien.
