Plenty in reserve for Munster

Munster built on the demolition of Perpignan two weeks ago to crush Connacht last Saturday, and with results breaking their way over the weekend, they’re now only two points off the pace as the Magners League enters the new year, with seven of the ten teams realistically hoping to reach the knockout stages.

Having made 13 changes from the side that started in Perpignan six days previously, Munster were delighted that a largely second-string combination did well enough to take a bonus point from Saturday’s visit of Connacht to Thomond Park. However, their next outing against Ulster at Ravenhill on Saturday evening next promises to be a far more dangerous proposition.
