Munster and adidas extend kit deal

ADIDAS and Munster Rugby announced a four-year contract extension to their existing partnership.

The companies first joined forces in 2007 and the new deal will see adidas continue to supply the province until the end of the 2013/14 season.

Munster ceo Garrett Fitzgerald said: “Munster Rugby is delighted to continue its partnership with adidas. Their global brand appeal, heritage in rugby apparel and kit technology is second to none. We have had an excellent working relationship for the past three years and we look forward to another four years together, as the association will ensure the squad continues to be fully equipped for the demands of modern rugby.”

Paul Moloney, Senior Sports Marketing Manager, adidas Ireland said, “The partnership has been a great success since we joined forces for the first time in 2007, and at the start of this season we had a very successful launch of the new 2009/10 Munster playing kit. adidas understands the passion, power and heritage that is the backbone of Munster Rugby and we know that, coupled with our long history of rugby innovation, we can look forward to many more years of success.”
