LEINSTER head into the Magners League mid-term break in a strong position, but coach Michael Cheika will still want to know why a vastly under strength Cardiff Blues side caused them so much trouble at the RDS on Saturday.

One would assume that a 17 points victory, when a number of players clearly had an eye on Ireland’s autumn series of internationals, would have sufficed for Cheika but the Aussie wasn’t going to ignore the flaws.

Cheika believes Leinster have to keep the winning mentality that yielded Magners and Heineken Cup titles in a heady 14-month period.
