Irish Lions inducted into Hall of Fame

THREE Irish Lions were induced into the International Rugby Board Hall of Fame last night.

Tony O’Reilly, Syd Millar and Willie John McBride were among nine former players including this season’s Lions coach Ian McGeechan who were honoured at a special ceremony at Rugby School in England celebrating the rich history of British & Irish Lions tours to South Africa.

Said McBride: “To be amongst those names is special. It’s something that I dream about and will always treasure.”
