Hayes set for hearing

PROP John Hayes, pictured, is due before an IRFU disciplinary panel at Ravenhill this afternoon with his pre-Christmas schedule hanging in the balance.

Hayes is in the dock after allegedly stamping on Leinster’s Cian Healy during Munster’s 30-0 defeat at the RDS on Saturday.

The findings, expected tonight, could see Hayes, who has never been sent off in a 16-year career, suspended for the Heineken Cup games away to Northampton and home to Treviso.
