Munster fans get chance to wear jersey

ADIDAS are looking for one Munster rugby fan from each of the six counties in the province to be part of an exclusive launch event of the new jersey on Tuesday next in Thomond Park.

The six lucky fans will get to play an active role in the official jersey launch and spend the day alongside six players, including Munster captain Paul O’Connell and Ronan O’Gara.

They will be the first people in Ireland to get their hands on the new Munster kit for 2009/2010 season, with each fan receiving their own special jersey signed by all six players.

Munster will wear the jersey for the first time in their opening game of the season against Sale in Musgrave Park on Friday, August 14.

“We know this is more than just a jersey for the Munster players. When they put it on, they do so with immense pride, knowing what it represents; the history and heritage of this great club and the players that wore the jersey before them,” said Paul Moloney of adidas Ireland.

“Munster fans are an integral part of Munster Rugby and everything it stands for, so for us, it makes sense that they should play a role in launching this special new jersey.”

All fans need to do to be in with a chance to take part is email [e-mail] before tomorrow with their name, county, date of birth and contact number, and give an example of their devotion to Munster Rugby, and why they believe they should be selected as one of the representatives on the day.
