Roberts out to be midfield menace again

MEDICAL student Jamie Roberts is ready to outsmart South Africa if they target him for special attention in today’s crunch second Test in Pretoria.

The Springboks are expected to use the recalled Schalk Burger in an attempt to neutralise the Lions’ midfield attacking threat posed by Roberts and centre partner Brian O’Driscoll.

England employed Joe Worsley in exactly the same role during the Six Nations and he succeeded in chopping Roberts down before he had the chance to break over the gain-line and set Wales moving.
