WITHOUT kicking a ball, Munster secured the first half of a possible League and Cup double when they were last night crowned Magners League champions for the second time in their history.

Their closest challengers, Ospreys, defeated Dragons 27-18 at the Liberty Stadium last evening, but Ryan Jones and company needed to secure a bonus victory to keep their slim hopes of winning the title alive.

The sides could still finish level on league points if Ospreys were to secure bonus point victories in their last two matches – at home to Warriors and away to Munster – and if Munster were unable to bag any points from their last two fixtures.
