Irish boss Reid eyeing England upset

MANAGER Rachel Reid is hopeful that the Ireland Women’s rugby revolution can continue this evening at Templeville Road with an historic success over England.

Impressive wins over France and Italy ensure Ireland are confident but a severe test is scheduled at St Mary’s.

Reid is delighted with Ireland’s smooth 2009 progress thus far, but England, though shocked by Wales, remain a formidable outfit.

“This is as strong as a position we have ever had entering into a game against England, and if we play to our full potential it could be our first victory against them,” commented Reid.

“Over the past few years we have beaten Scotland, Italy, and Wales, and when we beat France in our first game this year that was a massive result,” she added.
