Leinster ‘in good place’ for double title bid, says McQuilkin

LEINSTER defence coach Kurt McQuilkin believes the province is ‘in a good place’ in terms of the race for Magners League and Heineken Cup honours.

Speaking ahead of Saturday’s League clash away to the Scarlets (Parc y Scarlets, 5.30pm) McQuilkin is satisfied with their progress on two fronts.

“In terms of a mid-term report, I would say that we’re in a good place. Certainly compared to last year, we have improved and have achieved some new goals, namely in reaching the quarter-finals of the Heineken Cup.”
